Fabick Cat Technician Advances to Regionals in Cat’s Global Dealer Technician Challenge

Fabick Cat is proud to announce that Jack, Lead Service Technician out of our Madison, Wisconsin location is heading to Cat’s Global Dealer Technician Challenge in Tucson, Arizona this December! Jack is one of only ten technician finalists from the entire Western United States and Canada Region heading to the next round of competition later this year. He earned his spot at the Regionals based on his advanced technical knowledge tested through a written assessment as well as a supplied video submission.

What is the Cat Global Dealer Technician Challenge?

Developed by Cat, this challenge was created to celebrate the essential role dealer technicians play in providing an excellent customer service experience. Designed to showcase how skilled technicians are part of a high-tech, high-impact, high-demand career, the competition also aims to raise awareness of the rising demand for technicians in the industry. “This hands-on, skills-based competition will test the technicians’ agility, resilience and versatility,” said Caterpillar Global Service Vice President Henry Venneman. “These trained experts are on the front line of support, working to keep machines and engines up and running to help ensure our customers’ critical projects are completed.”

The Global Dealer Technician Challenge will take place over a series of Regional and Semifinal competitions around the world. The Top 10 Finalists will have the opportunity to compete in the Finals in March 2026 at CONEXPO/CON-AGG in Las Vegas.

So how did Fabick Cat’s technician get the chance to compete?

Cat dealers from around the world were given the chance to nominate one technician. Jack was selected by Fabick Cat based on his recent achievement, earning the title of Fabick Cat’s Top Tech through an internal dealership-led Tech Challenge completed in 2023.

The Fabick Cat team celebrated Jack’s recent achievement as the dealership’s Top Tech winner. And now he has given all 1,300+ peers the opportunity to celebrate Fabick Cat and show their support as Jack travels to Tucson later this year.
